I am trying to open Smart music on my computer,and a new window pops up that says...

..."choose a program to open".? If I try to open Smart music,or a place to upload photos,a window comes up that says "choose a program to open".This is really confusing me.I don't know what to do.I have an assignment on there due TODAY.anyone know what to do?
