I am trying to install Windows 7 on a Packard Bell iMedia x2414 (unmodded factory setting) as the Vista it came with is getting slow. After I put the installation CD in and boot from it everything seems to go fine.
However, after the "Windows is loading files...." screen loads and "Starting Windows" screen everything goes black. After about 20 seconds I can even hear the CD stop spinning nd nothing at all happens.
Anyone experienced something like this? Can anyone help out?
I did have Windows 7 installed for a day and it worked better than Vista for the short life span.....
How do you reformat the HDD in the booting process?
