I am trying to get the original Civilization game working on my computer.?

When I run the program I get an error message that says This system does not support full screen mode. Any ideas as to what is going on or how I can fix/get around it?
 
Well first of all you must always look at the requirements for both game and laptop to see if they are compatible second you should open it up and see if there is a change settings mode where you can change the resolution at which the game runs in.
 
When you say "Original Civilization" I have to guess you are talking about the one from early 90's.
Search for the program called "DOS BOX" or something like that.
It will let you play many old DOS games
