I am thinking about buying a 1990 Ford Ranger extended cab.?

Im thinking about buying a 1990 Ford Ranger extended cab with the 2.9 v6, i know that the 2.9 had some severe design flaws with poor oiling and cracking heads. I read that most of these issues where resolved in the 1989 model. The truck is two wheel drive with the five-speed manual transmission. It has a salvage title, but I've crawled under it and the frame doesn't seem to be bent. I have yet to test drive the vehicle, but i have looked over the truck. there doesn't seem to be any contaminants in the oil, but the valve covers and oil pan have slight leaks. There seems to be minimal issues with the body, but there is a logo on the side suggesting that it may have been used as a service truck for a small business after it was repaired. It Blue Books at $2,325 in excellent condition, and the asking price is $1,900. I find this price a little steep for a truck with a salvage tittle and that still has a service logo on the door, I think $1,300 is closer to a fair price, but I'm not an expert, so I'm asking for a second opinion, what is a fair price to aim for?

sounds like too many issues to me,check ,compare prices in local newspaper ads,and edmunds.com for guidelines,my guess would be around $1100.00
,however i'd pass and look for a better one.
