Thats what she said

My boyfriend missed my birthday (On August 5th) because he was working. We didn't wind up celebrating at all and I still haven't even gotten my birthday card from him. Okay, I understood he was working - but then he took off an entire weekend - the following weekend to throw a party for his friends and family. He's 36 years old and lives in a one family house by himself - and I know he's got a lot on his plate, but he chose to take a weekend off for a party and he suggested one evening after work to take me out to dinner. We've been together for 4 months now and I thought I meant more to him than his "spare" time. Was I right to get upset that he took off for a party - which he said was "stressful" but did NOTHING for me for my birthday.
I basically have no emotions for him now and don't feel any attraction for him - I want a man who wants to make me a priority. I feel that if he really was in love with me, he would have spent more time planning something for my birthday than for a bunch of people who SUPPOSIDLY - he said ' wrecked his house, stressed him out and got him upset all day.
I am STILL upset with him three weeks later - to think that he wants so bad for me to fall in love with him but he's done nothing to encourage that. Am I wrong?
