I am scared to look into peoples eye while talking or during social gatherings

please help? Its like people can make out what type of person i am when they look at my eyes........ i mean its happening to me from past 2 years .....it looks like i have ophthalmophobia...... i am scared that i will go insane..cause i havent had a proper conversation involving eye contact for years.......i need some serious help.please thanks
