I am putting $1000 on this NFL game..... Am I crazy or crazy like a fox?

I am going to Vegas next sunday to bet on the Eagles -1 to beat the Panthers.

Eagles were 1 game from SB last season so should beat the Pamthers easily. So am I right or will I lose?
