I am pregnant and had spotting after sex and it was painful is this normal?

I am 5 weeks pregnant and me and my husband had sex for the first time in a week or so after I found out and it was actually painful and had some spotting of blood. It was very very little, but my vagional area was very sore afterwards. Is this normal or could this be hurting me or the forming fetus?
 
no, it's normal. it happens to me a lot when Im pregnant. usually for me it happens later in pregnancy as the baby gets big.

I've also experienced painful cramping after sex while pregnant. it's ok, it just sucks for your sex life.

your vaginal tissue changes a bit while you're pregnant. it has more blood running into it and it can bleed a little after intercourse. those spots of blood arent from your uterus, they're just from your vaginal tissue.

you will probably have to change the way you make love while you're pregnant to find something that works for you.
