I'm 24 years old and I have insulin resistance. I a 5'4 and weigh only 84 pounds. I am in NO way shape or form happy about this at all. So please don't leave comments about how I need to gain weight, because I already know that. Thanks. It just sucks because everything I eat, it makes my blood sugar go up, and I burn protein and and I lose weight. I also have no medical insurance, or else I'd be at the doctor. I watch what I eat, and because I do not have insurance, I can't eat the things my body needs (like a good amount of carbohydrates) because when I do my sugar goes up and I get keytones so I lose weight. I have probably lost a total of 40 pounds in the past 4 months. I eat what I can to gain weight, but it doesn't help. Doesn't help at all that I look anorexic and I wish I didn't look like that. It scares me, I feel like I am going to die or fall apart. I have anemia brought on by lack of substances. Has anyone else experience losing weight due to diabetes and burning protein?? It is very frustrating.
Also, my family has type 2 diabetes and I had gestational diabetes, so I am pretty sure I will need medicine and eventually have full blown diabetes. I have anxiety issues and it doesn't help with every little thing I eat, having an anxiety attack about whether my blood sugar will go up or not
any one that can help with relating or sharing their experiences will be greatly appreciated, thank you!
