Here's the first poem (Truth)
Bathed in sunlight
Feeling it warm on my cheek
Running my hand swiftly
Over her wrinkled arm
Her breath against my ear
Calms me
But then it's gone
She's gone
Dragged off to a faraway place
They say it's what she wanted
But I can't stop my tears
And I cry
Why oh why must my loved ones die?
I never said that final goodbye
The emptiness gnaws at my insides
Until it's time...for me.
I take Death firmly by the hand
Departing this life, not looking back.
Then I see her beaming face
Brighter than the brightest star
I turn and catch
A glimpse of my old world
From afar.
And here's poem two (In the end)
The past seems the future
And the future the past
The end happens first and
The start happens last
Is the past the present
And the old the new?
That's how it is in
The place I'll next see you.
Half light and half dark
Half sun and half cloud
It may be night
Or day right now.
It doesn't seem so but we
All go at one pace
You see, at the end,
We end up in one place.
From native americans
Using buffalo hide,
Predator and prey
Have gone side by side.
You start to realize
When time becomes bent
That to the same realm
We all shall be sent.
You have those wishes of
Mountains and seas.
Could the one I'm looking for
Be right in front of me?
Do you think there's meaning to
Your time in this life?
Soon you might be face to face
With that deadly silver knife...
And here is the last poem (The pixie)
Flitting past on butterfly wings
When almost all the night is gone
Very near the crack of dawn
She's joined my list of unknown things
It's early-I can hear her sing.
In a flash of color she flutters past
Pausing once to take a glance back
And picking some petals for a snack.
Please actually read these, I want to know which is the best. Thanks.
