Actually, I agree with you. I'm not going to go crazy about it, they will manage to get me home.
Yesterday was Pre-Op day at the hospital, #1 (in between work.) Take blood, take urine, take EKG, take chest x-ray, and then take one unit of blood in case I need it later. Then in the evening, ordered physical with my GP who didn't even know I was having surgery. When he heard who was doing the surgery he was astonished. Seems, as far as GP is concerned, he's the tops in his field anywhere, and can't believe I managed an appointment and can't believe he's doing my surgery. So, I felt very good I got such a well respected doctor, and very bad because it made me realize this well respected and hard to see doctor decided my problem needed his expertise. Sorta a "here's the good news, here's the bad news."
Pre-Op day at the hospital #2 will be in two weeks when they do more tests and draw, yet again, another unit of blood in case I need it. In between all this, next week I get fitted for my brace. Wonder if they come in colors...
It's a good time to joke. My new pain meRAB were wonderful for 5 days, but for them to stay as effective I'm supposed to increase the dosage. The way they make me feel, not possible while I'm working. So...19 more days...
