I am not being able to play any DVD (i.e. vob files) & also DVD rip movies on...

...my Windows Media Player 10..!? Earlier I could not play any "vob" files on Media Player 9. So shall I download a Codec Pack (all in 1) from the internet ? Hopefully then I will be able to play DVD movies on my PC ?
Also can I play the DVD s on VLC media player ...I have heard it can play any media file without any problem ??
Please advice ?
