Ok guys, here is a new one.
My boyfriend/girlfriend hasn't chucked me. No friends have left me and I don't go to school.

This is a rant I expect no sympathy for (who gives sympathy to those who aren't in debt these days?)

I work hard and earn good money. Due to, let's call it unfortunate events, I have more than I had anticipated to have at this stage in life.

My problem is this:
My immediate family seem to think it is ok to run up debts that make my own eyes water let alone yours and I am expected to pay them because I have money.
I resent it. I fucking resent paying for the extravagance of others. My tax is horrendous enough, but this time I have paid out well over
 
A couple of my friends thought that it'd be cool to let Danni pay for everything a few months back because I earn more than they do combined. Every weekend, they would want to go out to eat, go to a club, etc. Finally I got tired of it, because I never got offered to be treated to a night out where I didn't have to pay.

So far, my family hasn't asked for any money from me, despite the fact that they are having some problems keeping themselves out of debt. The only person that really has asked me for any money is my brother, and that was simply because he wanted a World of Warcraft Subscription. I obliged to get him started on his free trial, but I quickly bought him a prepaid card and told him to use these as much as he could.

Seriously though, it sounds like you have a bad case of the mooches. Tell them fair and square that you expect at least some of the money back, and just because you have the same blood in you doesn't mean you need to help them when they screw up.

Oh, and good work being rich so quickly in life.
 
i know how you feel i bust my ass out for minimum wage and then i get home and im expected to do all the extra stuff that me mom cant do cause shes tired and stuff and im the only one in me house that pays for food and im on the smallest amount of money
i have to feed 5 human mouths and 3 cats mouths on
 
That sounds rough.
People need to understand that money can create problems, and that if they need to pay money, then they should get it back as soon as they can. Well, if only it were that easy.
 
Thanks for that and I remember so well working four jobs whilst gaining one of the degrees.

This is more an older bugger thing, and my advice to you is never get into the position whereby you are making transfers from your account to the tune of over

our debts are ours.......our credit cards are our own responsibility!, don't let any 0% make you think you will be ok...It isn't free money. The cheepest version is when you pay
 
WEll Diamond, I dont make extravagant ammounts of money. I make enough for me to get by comfrotably on my own, Yet family members still borrow money from me all the time, and think they are not entitled to helkp me out when i need it. Instead they stick me in shitty situations cleaning up their messes.

It's hard, But that is how us higher beings have to live. WE make more money, so they figure they can take it just because we have it. They dont care about our finacial situations.

just for those who think that I actually would dig that grave.....read again.

I was scared about losing such a lump sum from my bank. I knew it was the right thing, but I needed someone to make the loss of money and the resentment towards my family seem trivial.

You should make them wear costumes such as, A douche bag. And they must wear them for a minimum of a week and confront everybody with a , "Hello, I am a douche bag."
 
Acutally I can sympathize with you . I have let family live with me, bailed family out of jail, paid lawyers and court fees as well as utilities, spent hundreds on my nephew and thousands on siblings, even helped my EX-inlaws by giving them a home and food and money........(who would not help us even after they won a hundred thousand dollar lawsuit against the STATE).

and when CL and I are in a tight spot, its TOO FUCKING BAD. The only people that helped us were not even family, just good people with a big huge heart.

Go figure.
 
It's unfortunate but you can pick your friends but you can't pick your family.
BUT you can sure as hell tell your family to take care of their own shit. You have a family of your own Im sure, even if it's just you it doesn't matter. Take care of yourself and yours and if they don't want to have anything to do with you because of that, it's their lose. ;)
 
i'm with the others, diamond. don't let them take you for granted any more. Whenever they need money, make them sign a contract or don't give them the money. If they can't live within their means and repeatedly rack up more than they can afford, they may just have to learn the hard way what happens.
 
They are family. So fuck 'em! Tell them straight out, I am NOT paying your bills anymore.

They won't believe you. But, and here's the kicker, when they rack up more bills thinking "she'll pay" prove them wrong. Make THEM pay. Because... and I repeat, They are Family. So fuck 'em!
