I am looking into buying a wireless internet router?

I am looking into buying a wireless internet router for my Dell Net book PC with Intel Atom Processor & Windows XP. I have found one wireless internet router that I read about and so far am happy with what I hear. The router I am looking at is the NETGEAR WGR614 Wireless-G 54Mbps Broadband Router. I don't know if I would need to also purchase the USB adapter in order for this device to work or if this device would even work for my laptop. Can anybody help me? I have no idea what I'm really doing. I'm 17 years old and I need this laptop to be able to do my job at work I also have to be able to do my school work and all of this requires internet access. The laptop comes with a Wi-Fi connection.

Download speed goes by your provider (comcast, bright house, ect.)
G is a good for in side your house
N is the best and often faster with 70mbps

If the laptop comes with built in WiFi then you're good to go. Get the router, set it up to connect to the laptop and you're done and connected.

If the Laptop comes with Wi-Fi, you don't need an Adapter. It should connect fine. I'm using a Belkin G class router with only a Wii connected to it. Just turn on Wi-Fi and search for the network you want to connect to.
