I am looking for the title of a kids movie, I think maybe a disney movie but not

sure it is pre 2001? it had something to do with 2 kids and a mountain, a river and a cave ( it was not escape to witch mountain series) it was newer than that, I remember it was a really good movie and wanted to get it for my god daughter but I cant find it. thanks for any help.
 
i really have no idea, something like "my side of the mountain"?
