I am Legend

He was in shock, and also a little crazed. The boy did have slightly messy hair ;)

Personally, I wouldn't have introduced those two characters. It lessened the effect of what occurred earlier and was way too convenient, whether God sent them or not. How did she get him out of the car with all those zombies running about? And why was she out at night with her son in the first place?

The film was being held together quite nicely with the one protagonist up to that point. It didn't need anyone else.

I like Will Smith, but I didn't like this film, I found it a bit boring. And just a thought, who was supposed to be manning the water treatment plants so he could get fresh water, same with the power stations for his electric (freezer ! and TV) didn't think of that, did they !

Seems it's my review that you disagree with entirely, as I was also the one who mentioned it beggaring belief!

Whether it was a feeling or not, it's completely ludicrous that she would have a feeling that there was a colony in such a specific location, and then it turned out to be the case. The whole film was science-based, and this was just ... crap. It's Hollywood's obsession of ending everything in a neat little package that leaRAB to ridiculous, unbelievable endings like this.

I understand what you say about depressing endings - I remember coming out of The Pledge and being utterly depressed, though thinking it was a great film - but I think this film deserved something more profound than the ending it was given.

Warning: spoilers again.

Totally agree. The death of Sam was upsetting but at the time I thought, yeah, it's necessary, because Smith's character is now totally alone and it's even more sinister and scary. We got little hints that he was losing it (the scene in the video shop) but this theme wasn't explored enough and before the complete isolation had a chance to impact upon the audience or upon Neville, two other characters turned up and all was well.

I enjoyed I Am Legend up 'til he killed his dog,but after that it was a bit too flash, bang, wallop, and seemed to speed up and cram too much into the last quarter. The zombies, people n dogs, just didn't look convincing enough to me either.

Poor Sam

At the end I thought that the crazy monster person (who trapped Will Smith) would recognise that the woman had been cured and would stop attacking them :(

i just finised watching this, what an odd film, too many unsolved answers i think in this and the cgi dark seekers were pretty poor
