I AM LEGEND Release Date

Good lord.

When Sam died, I proper cried, not silent tears. :-( I knew something would happen to that dog! DAMMIT.

The film was 'ok'. The first half was better than the second I feel. I also think they could have done 'that bit more' with it. If you can understand that. There was plenty of potential there.
 
Yeah, i thought the same thing. They reminded me of the mummies from The Mummy Returns.

Overall, the film felt like a wasted opportunity, with some great moments and a well realised environment.....in which nothing of any interest happens.
 
Yes I've seen all the Alian films and AVP was much better than 3 & 4. Egg, face hugger, gestation etc seems like life cycle to me.
 
Re-watch Alien and Aliens. Give them your undivided attention, then come back to me.

I thought AVP was equally as bad as 3 and Resurrection. Even Sigourney Weaver couldn't save thouse train wrecks.
 
We saw the DVD screener last night - amazing quality for a download and i thought the film was very good - surprised by the end (won't give it away). I would give it 7/10 - and 10/10 for the dogs acting!
Worth seeing but not Will Smiths best film.
 
I think it's difficult to judge both films. AVP was ruined by restricting it to a UK-15 certificate. It had it's moments but without that all important 18 certificate the Director was hindered in what he could show. Predator 2 was an 18 from the start and is a much better film for that reason as more can be told and shown without having to offend/upset the censors.

The problem lies purely with those who compromise story telling for the sake of trying to maximise it for revenues. Their twisted logic was that make it UK-15 and more people will go and see it when the exact reverse happened as fans of both genres realised it was essentially a kiRAB film.
