I haven't been to a solo since I was little. And now I am too nervous.

Any ways to calm nerves?

Believe in your self , say " I can do this". Practice!!!!! Relax and calm yourslef before you go on. Act like the crowd is not there and just dance your heart out dont stop even if the music screws up.

when i get nervous before a game, i usually listen to a song that i love. Remind yourself that you love to dance, and have fun with it. because if you have fun, it will show in your Presence on stage.

Before competitions, I would stretch and then lay on my back and close my eyes and then focus very hard on each individual muscle starting from my toes all the way to my eyebrows and I would simply focus on relaxing that muscle. It's a great way to calm down, then when you get excited right before the performance, you can harness that energy and put it into your moves - that's the great thing about dance!! Good luck!

I can give you some.

- Ask yourself what are the reasons why you are nervous.
- Don't worry about what people will think of you, if you were chosen to
do a solo it means that you are good enough.
- Tell yourself that most of the people watching are not even dancers
so they can't do half of what you do.
- Practice a lot and rvisualise your choregraphy in your head before going to bed to be 100% sure to know it..
- Remember that dancing is what you love and that you are very good at it.
- Inspire, Expire.
- Tell yourself that it's not the first time you do it and that you
were younger so that was the time when you were suppose to be
nervous.
- Tell yourself that being nervous is useless and will not affect your
performance in a good way.
- Take it as an everyday practice.
- I've never seen dancers or public that are mean to the performer, the
only thing you can get is constructive critics and it will get you to be
better.
- You know that you are the best and that you are going to kill it.

Good Luck!
