I am having troubles with Business Algebra.?

Okay, the question says this: The equation of a line that has the points (3, -4) and a slope of 2 is _______. I am just not sure what to do.. I've looked in my book and it just confuses me more... So if you could help that would be very greatful! :) Thanks much!
 
ok, we use point slope form which is

(y-y1) = m (x-x1)

you only plug numbers into y sub one and x sub one. you use the points they give you. recall that coordinates are written (x, y)
so y1= -4 and x1= 3

plug everything into the equation
remember that m stands for slope

y--4= 2 (x-3)
y+4 = 2x -6
y= 2x -10
