pre-employment drug test? I have lapriscopic surgery scheduled and they've prescribed lortabs (tylenol & codene) for the pain. I am in the process of changing jobs from one airline to another airline. The new job should be sending me to a DOT/FAA Pre-Employment drug screening prior to me starting the job. I am scared they are going to send me right after I have this surgery. Will the Lortabs cause me to fail the test? Will I be allowed to provide the necessary information to the airline's drug screen administrator to show I am temporarily under the care of a doctor who is prescribing the medication? Is there some alternative medication I can ask the doctor for to treat the pain that will not cause me to fail the test?
