i am having problems downloading the update rosters for NBA live 08 for xbox 360.?

i keep getting the this player does not have an ea locker message. how do i set one up?? how do i download the update? when i download it does it affect my offlline rosters? if not how can i get my offline rosters accurate? thank you for your help.
 
Well I don't have NBA live 08, but I do have NBA 2k8. And when i download the rosters you simply overwrite it as your main roster or create a new file for your roster, and each time you start the game you may chose to load whichever roster you want (preferably the updated ones), and that will affect your game offline/online.
