clothing should I wear? I was thinking of getting some zip off or button up pants from REI that are nylon or some sort of waterproof thin material. Not sure if these would be warm enough though, but I don't want to be too hot. I have timberland boots (I hear there's still snow). Are these a good choice? What about tops?

Think layers. DH ran the Mt Evans Ascent (held mid-June) three times and he usually wore fairly heavy nylon pants with a long-sleeved t-shirt over a short sleeved t-shirt. The last time he ran a storm came up, it started snowing and they weren't able to finish the race. They had to pull everyone who hadn't finished off the mountain, and he about froze.

Keep in mind that he was running. I would add a nylon shell in your pack along with gloves and wear a hat. Bring lots of water. You may want to use a camelback, or some similar water pack. It is always better to have extra clothing that you don't need than too little.

Don't forget sunscreen and bug repellent.

Take your camera and have fun!
