Make sure you have first aid kit, some warm clothing if you are camping in the mountains, like Montana. It depends on where you are camping at, but i take a tarp, boots if you hike, lots of clean water, yes if you are not the one for outdoors take a air bed. sleeping bags and food pans and some places you have to get firewood at the ranger station or they make you buy a permit to cut trees for firewood. Also if you are going to where there are a lot of bear sitings take some bear spray too.
