i can only spend up to 1200 dollars. what should be my limit on the amount mileage. and any other important car info.

If all you have is $1200 mileage is the least of your worries. Make sure the car is solid, no rust, not dents, no wrecks. Take it to a mechanic and have it inspected. If the car runs good, looks decent and passes inspection, buy it.

Of course you want to find a car with low miles if possible but condition is the key, not miles on the odometer. Hondas are good cars, don't get me wrong, but there are a lot of good cars out there and if you find a Chevy that is in great condition it will be a better car for you than a Honda that is a beater. $1200 isn't a lot of money to work with. Don't limit yourself to badges or brands. Find a good running, solid used car...period.

With a Toyota or a Honda,, it really depends on if they were maintained good.. If they were,, miles is less important..

When looking - ask them for maintenance records..

Highway miles are much easier on a car than city miles..
Ask them if they drove allot of hwy or city..

Still - your not gonna get much with 1,200.00

Good luck !!
