I am flying with THOMAS COOK on sunday, are you allowed to play your DS on the plane?

Heyy =) im flying on sunday with thomas cook and was wondering if your allowed to play on your DS whillst on the flight.
Also can i put my phone on FLIGHT MODE instead of turning it off all together, so i can listen to my music =) thanks xx
