omg as if!! i have same problem! you on silver? cause i am this weekend and started my period saturday so hoping will be all done by then lol. but to be honest i have no idea what you can do. try extra absorbant pads? talk to your mum about it. i was on for my bronze and yeah its even worse with all the heat. good luck, i will be thinkin of you when i am on mine too!!! good luck! xx

This saturday and sunday im doing a 24 mile hike, with a bag what weighs 2 stone. I have done a practise run the weekend just gone by, i had to have the day off school cause of pain. The weekend coming up i know im going to be on my period, and i do not cope well at all under heat, there is no toilets for about 10 hours of walking, so i wont be able to change my sanitary towel at all! What do you suggest i can do? I was thinking tampons [which ive never tried] but then i would have to change them about every hour cause i have a heavy flow!

You need to see your GP and get a prescription for Primulot-N tablets, you take them about 3 days before your period is due (one three times a day) all the time you are away on the hike and when you stop taking them you will get your period about 2 days later. I used to take them quite often as my periods were very heavy.

If you're thinking of using tampons then start practising with them now, they take a bit of getting used to.

If I were you I'd use a huge tampon and a huge pad together, surely you stop for toilet breaks though, they can't expect you to not use the toilet for 10 hours straight, plus you'll need to drink a lot of water so everyone will need to go at some point.

It's up to you whether you want to take some weird pills to delay your period, but please go to the doctor and ask their advice if you're thinking of doing this.

Also, tell a female friend or a female teacher or someone you trust who is also gonig on the trip, and explain that you really need a moment to freshen up at some point, then at least you have someone there to support you whatever happens

good luck anyway, and I hope you have fun despite annoying female bodies!

You can go to your doctor and get a prescription for a tablet which will delay your period - explain your reasons. I got these tablets last year because I was going abroad and was due when I was away. I am not sure if the chemist can give you them without a prescription, but def the best thing for you. You'll get your period when you stop them.
