I would love to have poeple tell me their life stories and then develop photos around them, and then when it comes to the night of my art show, i will be able to post the stories next to the photographs, and people will really be able to admire my work and hopefully it will touch them. The point of this is to make people think about things other than themselves.

So i would love to hear your story, whether it be happy sad or otherwise.

thanks so much

Here's a story of a close friend.

Grew up the most optimistic child, then after studying for years and majoring in philosophy and psychology, had a huge bout of depression. It was too much knowledge, she said. She turned to Taoism, where one of the ideas is un-learning to reach a state of purity of oneself and moved to China for a few years. Then, she worked in the Peace Corps and taught an English class in South America but suffered from culture shock, feeling she was not welcome in the US or anywhere else. A few months later, she accidentally got pregnant and moved back to the US with her family because the father was out of the picture. Now, she tells me her beautiful little boy (Eli) has given her a sense of purpose. If she cannot find her own way in this world, she said she must dedicate her life to others who truly need it.

I like the idea of your project, and am very curious to see the results. Maybe you could post them when you are done?

Good luck!
