Okay, so I have the original 2004 DS and it is starting to get a bit worn out. I am wondering if I should replace it with a DS lite or a DSi. I have heard that the DS lite has a brighter screen, longer battery life and so many other improvements than the original model. I don't know much about the DSi though. Is the DSi that different from the DS lite? Is it really that much better?

I'd deffinitely upgrade myself. You can trade in your original DS to knock the price of a Lite or DSi a little bit, and it's not like they're both very different.

The Lite has a glossy finish which leaves behind fingerprints which is bad if you're OCD, a longer battery life, a slightly smaller screen, a slightly longer charge time, and it has a slot for gameboy advanced games.

While the DSi has a camera, an online store with a few rather amusing free downloads to kill time, it CANNOT play gameboy advanced games, a built in music player, a internet browser, and more internal memory.

I'd go for the DSi myself if the extra cash isn't a huge deal, and the loss of gameboy advanced games.

Depends on what sort of player you are:

DSi is okay if you aren't crazy about GBA games. Instead you'll get a new OS, two cameras, MP3 playback, DSi shop, SD support, and a new design. You can just play the original for GBA games. Personally I belief you'll get more if you just buy the DSi and play the DS for GBA games. BUt if you like GBA, stick with DS lite, but you'll miss a lot of features.

DS light, its better cause its smaller and it has everything you mention.

DSi - diffrence is it bigger and has a camera, it has wi=fi built in but so dose all 3. heard you can download music to it.

basicly if you are only wanting one to play games and dont care about a cam or putting a few songs that i know wont hold much then i would go for a DS Light.
