...extended warranty? should i buy it now and roll it into the payments which will make my monthly go up, or wait a couple of months (i won't put the 4,000 miles that would bring it to 60,000 miles making the cost of the warranty increase between now and when i have the 1500 for the warranty outright), and go back to the toyota dealership and get one then? also, what is usually the problems associated with a toyota camry le? like is it the transmission, brakes, etc, much obliged!
 
NO I would not buy an extended warranty. Those cars are very solid. Keep it maintained properly and you'll be just fine. Extended warranties are simply in place for the dealer to make money, that's all there is to it. Don't listen to their scare tactics.
 
well if one cares for their car in the right way most wil drive great into the 400,000 range back when i was young 50,000 was not broken in yet so now its time for its first tune up first brake job belt replacements and over all service check and then it should be good to go til oil change time and drive to 100,000 miles to re check
 
It depends on the details of the warranty, and what it covers.

Are you extending powertrain, bumper2bumper or custom?

For me, (And Ive worked for a dealership for a long time). Warranties come down to value, as to be honest, they CAN be good profit for a dealership.
Feel free to dicker the price of your warranty down, dont think its set price is out of thier control. And also look at the costs of 3rd party warranties.
Some people will tell you to stay away from these, but Coverage-One is more comprehensive than Toyota factory warranty, and MAY be cheaper. Shop it a bit and see for yourself.
Also take a look at what adding the cost of the warranty will do for your deal in way of Interest amount $$.

That being said, costs of repairs are on an increase, and with economic struggles the way they are, if you can AFFORD the warranty without problem, do it. It may save your bacon in the future, it will also give you major piece of mind as you drive your vehicle.

Camry's arent known for major issues around transmission/brakes/engine etc, but you never know. They are all just machines..
