My aunt dragged her sick kid over to my house today (with a chunky cough, sneezing, runny nose, phlegm, etc.), fully knowing that she was sick.
You see, my aunt is the most selfish person I know; she denies that her daughter is sick because she knows that no one wants to be around a sick kid and risk getting sick themselves. BUT because she's so selfish, she doesn't let that interfere with her good time, and she drags her daughter with her everywhere, anyway.
Now this is what I'm irritated about (as if that wasn't enough): My mother told them last night to not come over because she could hear that the little kid was still sick in the background (over the phone), but my aunt unexpectedly stopped by today ANYWAY when she knew that JUST I was home... and when she was at the door, she had already taken all of her food, toys, diaper bags, etc. out of the car so there was no way I'd just say "hey, you have to leave" after seeing that she had already brought everything out. She came in and was like, "Give your cousin a hug" and my cousin was hanging all over me and hugging me and trying to play games, draw, and put together puzzles. She coughed twice, right in my face, and I tried not to breathe, but I'm sure there's no way to avoid that.
I was on a VERY high dose of Prednisone about a month ago, which I know lowers your immune system drastically. I'm currently sick with a sinus infection too, doing my nebulizer because my asthma is so out of control, taking inhailed steroids, as well as antibiotics (which no longer work because I've become resistant to them due to so many sinus infections). In 3 days I'm having Botox injected into my neck, shoulders, and around my shoulder blades to give some relief to my muscles after an injury I had a few years back.
I CANNOT AFFORD TO GET SICK! I've already had to cancel once because of a virus (that I caught from the same kid, I believe) that gave me a rash everywhere, sore throat, headache, you name it!
So my question in all of this? How likely do you think it is that I'll get sick before Tuesday? I hope you can help me with this! THANK YOU!!!!!!
