I am amused by the Linebarrels of Iron banner

It has to be like the most blatant one yet next to "Hooking up to save the world" for Dragonaut

The "everything you never wanted in a hero" is so spot-on correct that I did a double take realizing that FUNi acknowledges the guy is a gigantic d-bag. Well done.

"See the anime everyone is talking about." We're not talking about it because it was actually good FUNi

He's a pretty big jerk at the beginning which at first I thought was interesting because I never see the main protagonist of mecha anime be the jerk but then it got annoying and he was nearly yelling half the time. Then he mellows out into generic main character territory while still keeping that jerky attitude but with fanservice romps!

As for the show itself, it's not crap like Dragonaut but it's not exactly Gonzo at it's finest. Actually, if it wasn't for some of the fights, I probably would have dropped this.

To add measure, it becomes somewhat a fanservice harem midway through (Though the fanservice had subtly been there since the beginning). Infamously, the beach island episode. Tentacles and all.

I have to give FUNi props for picking on their own properties when it's appropriate. Even though they have to try to sell it, they'll say the protagonist is a d-bag if they know it's true. I can't imagine how they're going to try to sell Strike Witches.
