I am a 24 male, I had sex for the 1st time today with my girl that is a friend. Awkward?

I was thinking about waiting for marriage, but couldn't help myself today. I just "took charge" for once and got it done. Well, I mean I didn't love it. It didn't feel like I thought it would. Don't get me wrong, it was ok, better than anything I have ever experienced sexually. But, still, I expected more. Also, I kind of regret it. Is this normal?> But, hey, I did get the "monkey off my back". Will this give me more confidence? I heard that it usually does.
but isn't it for the best? Girls want guys with confidence. And, if it gives me confidence that a girl thought that much about me to do it. Most girls don't do it to just anybody. Plus, won't I be better at sex if I practice it enough?

But seriously, the first time is always awkward as hell.

Practice makes perfect! Just use protection. A wedding ring is just the old version of a condom.
