...should I do? the check engine light came on in my honda odyssey, and my wife started panicking. she started getting me into a crazy frenzy and I convinced myself it was low on oil (stupid), so I added two quarts of oil.

now i'm thinking it didn't need any oil -- what should I do?
 
Why didn't you check with the dipstick to see if it was low? Why don't you check it NOW to see if it's too high? If it is, you should obviously drain out the excess.
