I absolutely hate this Team USA

Fucking embarassing. Everything with "Team USA" on it seems to be embarassing now. Might as well just keep competing in individual sports where we can all be showoffs all the time, because we certainly don't know the fucking meaning of being a team in any sport.
 
the US is fucking great they're going to win the world cup...it's just because they don't get any respect

don't you pay any attention to the media? they're the best in the world
 
just because you can't get through, it doesn't mean you're in the group of death. group C is much harder, with three real quality teams (Arg, Ned, IVC). group E, your group, only has two quality teams in Italy and Czech Rep. italy have a reasonably chance of getting to the semis, czech rep will be lucky to get to the quarters. USA might as well go home.
sure, there are easier groups (H, G), but groups C and F are much harder than your own, and the 2nd place slot will be much more hotly contested.
 
Group F harder than group E? Brazil is the clear favorite, but outside that I don't think any of the teams really compare to Italy or the Czechs.
 
did they accidentally score at soccer or something? thats my biggest fear, that we score a point or win a game of soccer in this world thingy
 
Ok;
In group F, Brazil are going through for sure.
In group E, Italy are going through.

This leaves three teams in each group competing for one other place. Now, in group F, those teams are Croatia - an excellent team and Australia, one of the rated underdogs of the tournament.
In group E, there is the US (who had suffered the biggest defeat of the tournament before Ukraine today, and who basically have no chance of winning the cup) and the Czech Rep, a team who are rated highly on the FIFA rankings (not that this matters much) and have some class in their team. I think we can disregard both Ghana and Japan as having much chance.

Thus, the competition for second place is tougher in group F.
Thus, group F is harder than group E.

Now, I don't think we need any explaination for C being tougher than E...


edit; Bryan you might pinch one (a goal) against Ghana, but don't be too optimistic.
 
Well, SMiler... you always said Greece was in the world cup... so.

If Japan didn't totally collapse against Australia, I would believe that they would have been favored to get second in their Group. Nakata, Nakamura... superstars.

I will cry laughing if Ghana beats Italy. PLEASE PLEASE JESUS.
