I am 40 years old, weight 110 lbs and 5' 5". I experience from frequent loose stool, unable to gain weight no matter how much or what I eat, nervousness, and have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Back a few years ago a doctor gave me the blood test and said the THS4 level was high and suggested I get further testing. Yet, back then I did not allot of money to spend on medical bills. This spring my new doctor did the test again and my levels were "slightly high but nothing to be concerned about". Yet in the past year I have experienced sudden rapid heart rate, sudden mood change (things bother me more then usual), and the loss of sensation everywhere three times. The last one occured two days ago while going to the doctor's office to have a hip bursitis flare follow up.... the doctor was able to catch one of my "attacks" and sent me to the E.R. for fear of a heart problem. I also had lost 7 lbs in 5 days though I have been eating normally.
Other mild symptoms are: frequent muscle twitching - not localized (sometimes in a shoulder muscle, an arm muscle, leg, buttock, or side), frequent mild headaches, muscle fatique and generally feeling tired though I have slept 8 to 9 hours.
Should I request further thyroid testing though the blood work does not show a serious level? Have I been experiencing thyroid storms?
I always forget these other symptoms - itchy skin mostly on the upper body (trunk), dry skin and dry hair (no thinning or loose of)
