hyperdrosis

Hi, I suffer from hyperdrosis and I used drysol to stop the persperation. I had no problems with it until one night I applied it and the next morning I woke up and there was a horrible rash; the rash went away but left a discoloation on my armpit. My parents don't let me use it anymore so I just wanted to know what would be the best way to stop my hyperdrosis.

Thanks!

I've never been formally diagnosed with hyperhydrosis but I sweat through layers and layers of clothing... I had been using drysol but even that didn't do anything to help stop the sweating - and I wondered what all those harsh chemicals were doing to my body...

I was reading up on some stuff and came across an article about naturally improving hyperhydrosis... The article said to stop using all anti-perspirants and get a natural deodorant. Most importantly, it said to get a loofah (or even a washcloth) and scrub each armpit under the running shower water for about 60 seconds per side... I scrub hard enough that it does burn slightly, but nothing unbearable... use your judgment

I tried this and it doesn't completely eliminate the sweating, but it has greatly improved it to the point where I'm comfortable only wearing one shirt now... I'd say my sweating improved by about 85-90%

Give it a try... you don't have anything to lose!
