I would like to build a hydroponic herb garden. For plants such as Leonotis Leonurus - AKA. "Wild Daga" or "Lions Tale", Nettle (genus Urtica - Urticaceae) and Turnera diffusa - AKA "Damiana."
I've done a bit of research and I'd like to build a "Bato Bucket Recovery Drip System." For the added control over an Ebb and Flow system.
Just a few Q's:
- Has anyone ever built this sort of system with these or other herbs/ like plants? If so, Any info/ insight would be much appreciated.
- Is it possible and how would I be able to replicate the plants best growing/flowering conditions?
Ie: "Lions Tale" Blooming Range - Late Fall to Early Winter.
- What sort of growing medium and grow light would be appropriate for this sort of build?
- What light cycle would result in best growth?
- Would I be able to continuously release nutrient solution to the plant if the flow was reduced to only a trickle?
- And - Would I be able to reuse the excess solution that is drained from the plant?
Thanks for your help.
