Taco bell is 100% gringo.
It has nothing to do with Mexican food.

Yes Nathalie, an also it's the same with Chinese fast food in USA. It's not Chinese at all.
 
The same could be said about pizza...those in America are not exactly what you find in Italy.what we eat in America is simply a derivative of foods from other countries.
I am French and the Brie and French breads found here are not even close to the real thing...Its just Americas idea of what French food is.

it's not like there aren't mexican restaurants in the us. it's not like there aren't mexicans either. we know taco bell isn't mexican food. it's mexican-inspired fast food. it's common knowledge.
