I get this as well, can't watch the train cars go by, even striped wall paper makes me sick.
From what I've read this can be from old fashioned "car sickness" or sea sickness, (the eyes tell the brain it's moving while the body doesn't, or visa versa, the conflicting info causes that sick feeling), migraine, inner ear dysfunction, Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo - aka "ear rocks", cause dizziness/nausea with head movement - or pattern sensitive (photosensitive) epilepsy.
The "Bucha Effect" describes nausea and vertigo brought on by strobe-type patterns of light.
Certainly some people are just more sensitive to visual stimulus than others.
