My husband is in MOS school right now and just received his orders today that he's being stationed at Camp Pendleton with the 1st Marine Division after he leaves here October 29.

Sooo...what do I have to do to PCS? I've never done this before, so where do I start and what do I have to do, who do I have to talk to, etc etc etc.

All of our stuff is currently in storage in a completely different state. And say, if I wanted to move myself is there a way to get reimbursed part of the moving if you don't want to have the military move you? All of our stuff is just in a portable on-demand storage (POD) so it seems easier to just have the pod moved since it's back in my home state.

Any info helps.
Ya it's his first duty station and he's busy with schooling so he said I'm in charge of figuring it out (as I always do anyways =] )

well your husband should be able to take some leave to help you with the move, in the air force it is called a dity move, or do it yourself move, in which you go to the tmo office and tell them you will move your self, and they should pay you up to the amount that it would cost them to move it for you. just have him talk with finance, also, if you do not want to move you self you give them the info where your stuff is and they will go get it and move for you, however i do not know how it works if all your stuff is in storage. good luck
