Meet the cast of Huntik: Secrets and Seekers
(updated list coming soon...)

The Huntik Foundation:

Lok Lambert was just a normal, fun-loving high school kid, trying to stay awake in his classes and wishing for a life of adventure. After finding his father's amulet and becoming a Seeker, Lok puts his enthusiasm, intuition and natural talent to the test. A childhood playing games with his father has gifted him with an uncanny knack for puzzles, and now he takes on ancient riddles every day of the week.

Sophie Casterwill is a book-smart, athletic, honorable and clever young lady of about Lok's age. She seems to be quite proper and mature, but she's not afraid to dish out some punishment when the action gets rolling. Sophie thinks that what she learns in books can prepare her for the real world, and that gets her into trouble.

As the top Operative of the Huntik Foundation, Dante Vale is the king of treasure hunters. With the mind of a hard-boiled detective, the body of an extreme sports athlete and the nerves of a cowboy gunslinger at High Noon, Dante leads the team and serves as a big-brother to Lok.

The Organization:

Defoe is a scheming, self-proclaimed mastermind. He leads the small force ordered to track down Lok?s journal and demands total obedience, even though his tactics often put his own men in serious danger. Defoe is willing to do anything to complete his missions, no matter how depraved and evil.

[FONT=Tahoma,Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,Sans-serif]Grier serves as Defoe's right hand man. Rarely speaking, he seems to be an ordinary thug at first, but he carries himself with a subtle nobility. Grier believes that with The Organization's domination, there will come universal order that will keep all people in line and prevent wars.

In battle, The Suits fight with a variety of magic and Titans. Huntik: Secrets & Seekers: Episode 04: Into the River of Secrets

Original American air date: January 24, 2009

While waiting for Judah Lowes notes to be decoded, the quest for the Ancient Amulet is at an impasse. Guggenheim calls with a job for Dante, and he takes it. Sophie convinces Dante to make it a group thing, since she hired him to help teach them, and there's nothing like on the job training.

Not a bad episode this week but it was the weakest episode so far, in my opinion. It did have a considerable ammount of action and Lok really got going with some cool moves and using his amulet to give him a winged titan to fly around with, but something about this episode lacked, I don't know what it was.

Dante continues to grow on me, he is definatly a kick butt kinda guy, and his titans rock, I hope we see more cool titans as the series progresses.

Anyone totally get a Blue Dragon vibe when Defoe summoned that gargoyle thing?

The action scenes in this show continue to impress. The animation is so fluid and smooth. It makes the show a real treat to watch.

That tiny gargoyle thing is still annoying as ever, though. >_< It's one thing to be a useless character. It's another for the character to be useless AND have an incredibly annoying voice, and it takes a LOT for a voice to annoy me.

I thought that this was a pretty good episode. I think that the action in the fight scenes get better with every episode. I especially like how the Seekers can fight on their own pretty well. Even Lok was getting better with fighting against the Organization in this episode. Dante gets cooler with every episode too.

I also liked the aspect of the gargoyle legend. In retrospect, Defoe did look like a character from Blue Dragon when he summoned his creature. Even though the Seeker team found their first defeat in this episode, they still found a hidden cave to explore, which was pretty cool. Overall, it was a fun episode and I'll enjoy seeing more of the series.

I really enjoy watching this series. The fighting scenes are pretty well done and the overall animation is as well. The plot seems interesting to me though the antagonist don't really jump out to me. The only thing I really dislike about this series is the theme song.

Today's episode it self was an alright one. I won't judge the series and decide whether to watch it or not just yet though. The episode was kind of boring but I liked the fighting scenes a lot.

The fights in this show are not bad they are just a mess, too much is going on at the same time and it's hard to tell who is doing what and to whome. It's hard to even keep track ofwho is on which side of the Fight.

Because I know that at the end the villain will lose and the heroes will win it is nice to see the villains pull out a few minor victories before the end. So it was good to see Defoe claim the Titan in this episode, even if it was a hollow victory for him.

I wonder how the ratings are doing, not that I really care all to much, but I wonder if people are watching it. I also still think they need to start making merchendise for this series as I have said before, but it will most likely have to wait a while until anything is final on that.

Here are my thoughts on this ep:

1. I thought Zhalia did a great job posing as a lawyer to spring Peter from that jail, as well as using her titan to help them escape the police.:D

2. Although they couldn't use their titans in that first battle against the suits, I think they still did great, especially Lok himself.:)

3. Dante did a very good job maneuvering his boat around those whirlpools.:D

4. The action in the underground cave sure was intense! Especially, the battle between Dante & Defoe. It's a shame Defoe managed to escape with that new titan.

5. I was just as amazed as everyone else when Lok uncovered that secret passage by pouring water into that statue!:D It's too bad Zhalia didn't seem too impressed about it.:p

a pretty good ep. 4 stars.:D

I found a blog entry from one of the animators/writers of the show: http://www.alteil.com/index.php/blog/logress-blog/21-logress-blog/599-huntik-go

So, it looks like the animation will only get better.

This episode was okay, I felt like it was kind of filler-ish, but the battles were still interesting and I liked that they are extending the journey into the cave more than one episode. I'm looking forward to see what mysteries the Huntik Foundation will find in the hidden passage...

Wow, I already thought that the animation was already top notch and extreamly crisp and to know that it's going to be getting even better is amazing! This has become my 2nd favorite show on television, each and every week I look foward to watching it, it has grabbed me and it wont let go. Thats a good thing.
