Meet the cast of Huntik: Secrets and Seekers

The Huntik Foundation:

Lok Lambert was just a normal, fun-loving high school kid, struggling to stay awake in his classes and wishing for a life of adventure. After finding his father's Amulet and becoming a Seeker, Lok puts his enthusiasm, intuition and natural talent to the test as he is introduced to Sophie Casterwill, Dante Vale, and the world of Seekers in Huntik. A childhood playing games with his father has gifted Lok Lambert with an uncanny knack for puzzles, and now Lok takes on ancient riddles every day of the week. Learning under fire, Lok improves by leaps and bounds, on his way to becoming a top Huntik Seeker. When he needs a hand, he calls on Cherit, a capricious winged Titan who is filled with wise advice on the ancient world of Titans and Seekers.

Sophie Casterwill is a book-smart, athletic, honorable and clever young lady of about Lok's age. She seems to be quite proper and mature, but she's not afraid to dish out some punishment when the action gets rolling. Sophie thinks that what she learns in books can prepare her for the real world, and that gets her into trouble. As the last surviving noble of the Casterwill family, Sophie has been raised from birth to be a Seeker. She is not actually part of the Huntik Foundation, but they have an alliance based on the need to fight evil. When talking gets to nowhere, Sophie Casterwill uses powerful attack and defense magic along with Sabriel, an elegant Titan that favors speed over brawn.

As the top Operative of the Huntik Foundation, Dante Vale is the king of treasure hunters. With the mind of a hard-boiled detective, the body of an extreme sports athlete and the nerves of a cowboy gunslinger at High Noon, Dante leads the team and serves as a big-brother to Lok. Dante Vale is the Huntik Foundation's top Seeker and the leader of the adventuring group of Lok, Sophie, and Zhalia. Known worldwide for his wit, strength, and collection of powerful Titans, Dante is a friend to every hero and an enemy to every villain. Along with his signature Titan, the powerful Caliban, Dante Vale has played an enormous role in several major events in the modern Seeker world.

Zhalia Moon is a tough, streetwise, elegant and a capable lone wolf, always ready to take on her team's good humor with her sharp tongue and sarcasm. Few understand the true Zhalia Moon. The variety of roles she has played in the lives of those around her is vast: orphan, daughter, protege, operative, villain, hero, and friend.

The Organization:

The ultimate dominator, The Professor lives to control. He is capable of being sly and manipulative, but rarely has to resort to such actions. Normally, the absolute fear he inspires is enough. The Professor has no ethics, and will do anything to expand The Organization and his power base. He is also the type who likes to manage every facet of The Organization himself, and make every decision personally. If any of his underlings fail him, he will not hesitate to have them removed.

Rassimov is an evil seeker who comes after 'The Professor' in the Organization. Rassimov's main goal is to bring the Huntik Foundation - specifically Dante Vale's group - to its knees, crushing whoever stands in his way.

An evil professor, Klaus was the one who found Zhalia in the woods as a child, and raised her to be a spy for the Organization. Klaus is definitely smarter than DeFoe, and is portrayed as a very creepy man who experiments on humans for fun. Klaus is a good researcher and inventor but he has no sense of history and is more than willing to destroy any artifacts that he no longer needs.

The Suits are the lowest minions of The Organization. Dressed in dark suits, they are the pawns Organization operatives use to achieve their nefarious goals. The Suits' greatest asset is their sheer numbers, but they also make capablespies and are excellent at information gathering. In battle, The Suits fight with a variety of magic and Titans. Just as The Organization brings about cold, unfeeling order with the help of savage evil deeds, its troops fight both with the cold Mindrone and the savage Redcap.

Lok confronts Dante, who just gave his Legendary Titans to The Professor. He says that just because he?s his father?s mentor, he isn?t about to forgive all the terrible things he?s done. Dante is conflicted between his love for Metz and his own internal code.

Awesome episode, the final showdown with the Professor was filled with ear splitting action and the death of a titan who gave her life to protect that of her master's. Very touching. We saw so many titans and so much action in this episode that anyone who is into action cartoons would be silly not to give this show a try, it's so good. This was a great way to end the season and I can only hope that 4Kids brings Huntik back next year with all-new episodes and we get to see some great Huntik products on store shelves, but sadly I have a strange feeling that the series wont return and we have seen the last of gool 'ol Huntik :(

It's just a feeling I have, the ratings have not been too good since the series first went out of premiers and into reruns and 4Kids just does not seem to care if it succeeds or not. Why else would they stick it in the 11:30 slot?

The second season won't even be ready until fall of next year.

Personally, I felt the 2nd half of this season took things way too fast. Even the characters seemed to be talking faster, giving me an uncomfortable Speed Racer vibe. They should have slowed down and left some of the things discussed in the 2nd half for season 2.

I got the "rushed" vide a little bit as well, but I still enjoyed the season and if by some miracle we get a 2nd season then I will definatly watch it to see what happens, I just hope we all have that oppertunity....

A second season is being made, It was annouced before the show even started if I'm not mistaken. Sure it's up to 4kids if they want the second season or not but it is being made.

I agree with the rushed-ness of the final ~10 episodes. But it was an exhilarating end to the season. It got confusing with all the titans being thrown about ... but it hardly lacked for action!

I found two stories where Season 2 was announced in March.

With a Fall 2010 date targeted for the start of Season 2 (and IF 4Kids picks it up), I think it's going to be a while before this show is back on the CW lineup. I think it might come back in Feb. or March, where a full 26-episode run would take it right to Sept. '10.

All this time i thought that dog was Eathon.

The only thing i was looking forward to in this show was for Lok to find his father.

I guess i have to wait till next season before that happens. And now that the Professor is gone, who's gonna be the next antagonist? Rasinov? He seems like he's not finished.

If 4Kids does not pick up the second season of Huntik does anyone think there is a chance that XD, CN or Nicktoons could pick up the rights to air it? If not then it looks like it would be straight to DVD or something.....

Possibly. It's an acquisition by 4Kids, not a production of theirs - it's Sinterniklaas' studio that dubs this, right - and so the second season could still wind up dubbed even if 4Kids decides not to air it on the block.

I think they will, though. It woiuld probably be in a crappy timeslot, but 4Kids hasn't exactly been picking up a lot of new series so I'm sure they would like having some new material coming down the pipe.

There's a few things to remember. First off they asked that the Legendary Titans be sent back to the Spirit World, where the Professor was also sent, but who's to say The Professor doesn't gain control of the Titans and come back? Rassimov gave his strongest Titan to the Foundation as part of a plan to ambush the Legendary Titans, but what about his sister and the others that were with them? The Organization might fall apart, but there are always other evil forces watching and probably with stronger Titans than our heroes have ever seen.

They can also continue the story of Ethan with ease. What happened to him after he went over that waterfall? Perhaps he has lost his memory. Perhaps he has become evil himself from amnesia. Perhaps there are more evil undercover agents in The Foundation. There's a lot of potential in the second season.

Also, while many people are complaining about the speed of the final 10 episodes, let me say I honestly preferred its pace. It gave more time to the battles and the character growth with the increased speed. It allowed Titans to be introduced at a quicker rate. It allowed a lot more heart tugs with the information about Zhalia, Metz, The Professor, and Ethan. It honestly felt like the final season of JLU with the increased pace. I'm not against having some slower episodes, but they really started a bit too slow for the pace they needed to get through the season.

I haven't had a chance to comment on this final episode of season 1 yet. Here are my thoughts on it:

1. Lok sure was upset with Dante for giving the legendary titans to the Professor!

2. As those statues came to life, I liked how Zhalia stayed behind to fight, since Dante was still too distraught to.:)

3. It was sad that Lok's titans were no match against the Professor's use of the legendary titans.:(I'm glad that Cherit saved Lok when he was blasted through the wall.

4. I thought Sophie put up a fantastic fight against the Professor!:D I almost cried when he broke her female titan's amulet!:crying: However, I liked how Sophie got pissed and used Hyper Stride, even though she still got beaten. I'm glad Lok rescued her when she was hurled out that wall!:D

5. I'm flad Dante finallt woke up and stopped those titans!:D I liked what Zhalia said to him as they were closing in on them.:anime:

6. That final battle against the Professor was fantastic, especially when Lok used that marionette titan to defeat the titan of immortality!:D:D:D It WAS kinda sad to see the Professor get sucked into that portal.

7. It was nice to see all the other Huntik members welcome Lok, Sophie, Dante, and Zhalia home, including Metz who was finally cured!:):anime::D

A great way to finish the first season! A 5 star ep!!!:D:D:D
