"Huntik" Season 2 Trailer

However, given the trailer, we know it's being dubbed in English (and in New York, no less), so there's reason to believe 4Kids will pick up the second season, if just for filler and nothing else.

I'm actually surprised to see a trailer this early, given how the second season isn't due until Fall 2010. The Blood Spirals look a lot like The Organization, except without the Suits, which is a plus. Zhalia's new outfit is cool too.
 
I'm not surprised to see the preview already. You might ask why, and it'll be exactly as I said before- the second season was ordered in every other country last January. I've said from the beginning to expect every other country to start airing no later than March or April of 2010. The preview spoils a few things, but they are all good spoilers. First off the titans evolve. Second, there are new legendary titans. Third, the dub continues to be LA and NY mixed.
 
Are you kidding me? 4Kids didn't give Huntik a chance? thats lies. 4Kids put a lot of faith in Huntik and wanted it to be another money maker for them considering Chaotic, another card tie-in series was doing well. They promoted Huntik like crazy and even when Huntik received bad ratings, they kept on promoting it and moving it to different time slots to see if it would have found an audience. Huntik just doesn't appeal to the kids. Sonic had less promotion and got better ratings than huntik. The viewers weren't interested, just like the buyers weren't interested in the cards that didn't sell.
 
Is Sinterniklaas being recast as Lok for the second season? If so then I guess the second season may use only NY actors rather than mixing with LA actors.

I think this will wind up on the CW4Kids, or at least the website. The ratings were poor, but if they have the rights and it's clearly being dubbed anyway, they might as well...their lineup for the near future is pretty thin.
 
I'm pretty sure that's still Lowenthal. Karen Strassman is still obviously Zhalia, so they're still using L.A. actors. I'd really like to know who they hired to replace Maddie though, since Rassimov seems to be the big bad here.

Nice trailer, although I really could have done without the whole minute of old footage, especially since it's not particularly interesting season 1 footage. Let's hope the creators have learned from last season missteps.

Oh, and I'm actually sort of dismayed that Sophie apparently has a new version of Sabriel, since her "death" last season was one of the show's better moments.
 
Huntik was a fantastic show and I really hope 4Kids does grab the license to air the second series, though I wouldn't be too disappointed if it ended up on CN or Disney XD or something, but I feel as if it's home is on 4Kids. I hope the rest of the first season comes out on DVD soon too, I have the first volume and I feel incomplete without the rest of it, my guess is that 4Kids will probably not release it because it didn't have good ratings, but I blame 4Kids for the 11:30 time slot and the 7:30 rerun slot it had for a while, it did much better at 10:00.....
 
I hope it does not end up on CN, as lets face it Cartoon network has been consistantly bad when it comes to the treatment of European cartoons. There have been a few exceptions but even the ones that started with good time slots never finished on the channel.

If 4kids does not pick it up I hope Disney Xd or Nicktoons does, at least then it will get a full airing at a decent time.
 
Sweet, the new Huntik trailer! I loved this show during it's first season run and I am hoping that the second season is as good as the first :)

The only thing I didn't like about the first season is how they dumped into commercials while it seemed like they were in the middle of a sentence, I know that isn't the shows fault but 4Kids should have been a little more careful.
 
Well, based on the graphics, it looks like season 2 got one hell of a budget boost.

I hope the writing improves just as much.

The first couple of episodes in season 1 had REALLY GOOD writing but it slowly fizzled throughout season 2. There was a great story line to be told, but it wasn't conveyed well IMHO (far too much effencise on transformation sequences).

In fairness, that all could have been their original budget for animation.

I look forward to seeing how season 2 fairs.

It would be nice to see it on another network that can give it more screen time though. Disney DX could certainly use it to continue to build their action block.
 
Yes, I would like to see Huntik move to Disney XD, instead of CW4Kids. The show is created from the man who gave us Winx Club. In a past post I said that S4 of Winx and the movie aren't coming to America, due to what 4Kids did to the series. If you remember the bad dubbing of Project A-Ko wasn't like the original Japanese script. If Nickelodeon gets Winx, I like to see the Rai version, instead of the 4Kids version.
 
The animation in this trailer is fantastic, I like how Lok looks as if he has aged since the first series and Sofie looks as hott as ever, lol. This series was one of my favorites this year and by the looks of the trailer I am betting on this show staying in my top 3 or 4 favorites next year too, I just hope it ends up on another networks other than 4Kids due to the company not doing so well and lot's of talk about 4Kids possibly folding next year. Disney XD or Nicktoons would be perfect.

I kind of don't want to see it on CN because I'm afraid it would end up with a 6am time slot, lol.
 
Well thats good news, I would have hated to own one or two volumes only to have the series be incomplete because the companies are stingy. I look forward to completing the first season and then watching the second season (wherever it decides to air), by the looks of the new trailer it looks like this shows new season is going to be amazing!!
