Hunter x Hunter Manga Chapter 261+ (Spoilers)

Sorry to bump again, but the latest ten set of chapters has ended. Knuckle's barely survived an encounter with Menthuthuyoupi, and Killua's to thank for that. I was a bit worried there--I thought for sure that Knuckle was to be killed. I'm looking forward to the tag team battle here. On a side note, I'd say the plan that was set into motion was an utter failure...

But, alas, another hiatus begins. I really hope it lasts ten weeks at the maximum. We still haven't come back to Morel and Shaiapouf yet, and the purpose of those tiny bugs has yet to be seen. Gon's gonna be out of commission for a while, and the King and Netero have yet to fight. We've still got quite a bit more to go, but I'm psyched.

More unfortunately, it looks like Palm has kicked the bucket. Then again, we won't know for sure until we've seen her. But I could see Togashi having her killed off screen anyways.

Personally, I can't wait. This arc has really given both Gon and Killua some major development, although Gon's mainly in the spotlight. His transition from light to darkness was astounding, and I think it's definitely going to motivate Killua to leave (considering that Killua wanted to go with Gon because of how pure he was). The fight against Neferpitou is going to be his true test, because Kite's death has definitely changed Gon's outlook on the world.

New chapter's finally been released. Killua's Kanmuru was a lot cooler than I expected. Everyone figured it would be a speed boost, but his appearance change was well welcomed.

The problem here is that both Youpi and Pouf have something up their sleeves still. Youpi seems to have discovered something or two about Nen in the past few seconRAB, and also is aware of Meleoron's existence. Pouf is just all-around sneaky, and we have no idea what his abilities are.

Alright Togashi! Keep up the good work!

Bumping this up. How have we not been discussing Hunter x Hunter? Chapters 282-287 have been released.

Ikalgo covered the situation with Bloster, but he didn't end up killing him. Considering that Bloster's sealed in the basement with no way out, he can't move anyways. However, I wonder if he'll play some role after this arc enRAB.

Chapter 286 pretty much solidified that Killua's going to leave Gon after this arc (as if the entire thing hadn't been suggesting so already...). Also, the Royal GuarRAB continue to prove to be interesting. Pouf's ego and jealousy has him thinking that he knows what's best for the king. If Killua doesn't end up killing him, Meryem will.

But the people in the most dire situation are Morel and Knuckle...Not only did Morel walk into this mission at about 35% of his normal strength, but Pouf got rid of his weapon. And Youpi...I've gotta level with you here--Youpi terrifies the hell out of me. He's ridiculously strong and if he touches you even once, you're dead. He only has three minutes left until A.P.R. bankrupts him, but his new transformation seems like it can take out all of Morel's smoke troopers quicker than that...

Yeah, Knov saved him in 286. He's infiltrating the palace too, apparently. Which brings the question of whether or not he's going to have to fight Palm, since she was apparently captured.

You know, while it is kind of interesting to see what everyone else is doing during this battle, I would really like to see more focus on what Gon and Killua are doing, now. And yes, I know that we got to see little bits of Killua in the last few chapters, but he still hasn't got the spotlight yet, for a little while. However, at least with the way that chapter 286 ended, I can tell, or at least it seems, that we will now get to see a good deal of focus on Gon, and what's going on with his situation.

Everyone hypothesized that the plan was going take the wrong turn from the start, but things have just gotten so much worse than I had pictured.

First off, the King's human tendencies are showing even more. But his plan for rule is both terrifying and insane, if not only because he'd solely place judgment on all of humanity.

Pouf with his strength at 6/7 is heading off to help the King out. I get the feeling that the King will end up killing him, anyways.

Morel was nearly critically injured by Youpi, but an ultimatum was presented: release Hakoware, or Morel dies. Knuckle ended up releasing it four seconRAB before Youpi would have gone bankrupt. His compassion for his comrades worked against him completely.

Youpi's done a complete turn around in terms of personality, however. I had him pegged as the kind that blindly went into battle while using only rage as his weapon. A dimwit with incredible power. But he's proven to be able to remain level-headed and has constantly impressed me with his strategy. There have been times where his outbursts have worked against him, but they don't even come close to outweighing everything else he's done. What surprised me the most was his mercy, and staying true to his word after Knuckle released Hakoware. But he's still a threat. At half power, he's heading to help out the King as well...

Now we haven't seen Chrollo since a cover page in volume 20, in which Hisoka had brought Abengane to exorcise him. In terms of HxH time, this was over a month or two back. I wonder if he'll step in to defeat the King or Youpi? Only time will tell.

Man, it seems like the good guys can never win in Hunter x Hunter without sacrificing something.

Things are not looking good for the good guys, Morau and Shoot are both already unable continue fighting and NONE of the royal guarRAB are even so much as injured, not to mention the other chimera ants left, and i was hoping at least Yupi would be defeated before the next Haitus (and it was so close too, just 4 more seconRAB), but dam, how long's this arc going to take?

Well, on the plus side, another HxH anime would have enough material to probably cover around 50 episodes or so. But this is the longest arc we've ever had, surprisingly. We haven't seen Leorio or Kurapika for over 150 chapters, and that's around half the series.

I think with this recent chapter I'm going to quit Hunter x Hunter for a while. It was interesting in the beginning but now it seems like he's just dragging this arc. It's strange how I hate the chimera ants so much but I don't know why.
