Human biology questions - digestive system?

I've been away from school and need some help with these questions about the digestive system:

1. How is glucose used by the cells?
2. How is glucose stored for future use by the body?
3. How are amino acids used by the body?
4. What is the fate of excess amino acids?
5. Where are glycerol and fatty acids stored?
6. Why is it important to store fats?
7. How do fats help in reducing heat loss?
8. Describe the process for the absorption of water.

It's been a while so I forget much of this, but I hope this helps...

1) Through glycolysis, kreb's cycle and oxidative phosphorylation, ATP is produced which is then used as the energy currency for our body.
2) Glucose is converted into glycogen in the liver and then stored in the body.
3) Amino acids are used to build proteins
4) Excess amino acids are expelled from the body thru urination or defecation
5) Glycerol and fatty acids are stored in the body as fat.
6) It is important to store fat because it is an energy supply that can be tapped into, it keeps your body warm, your body's cells require lipids for structure.
7) Fats act as your body's insulation, reducing heat escape
8) Water is absorbed in your large and small intestine
