Human Biology or Biology A-Level - Medical Students Required Here!?

I went to my sixth form taster day yesterday and was informed that most universities do not accept Human Biology in relation to normal Biology, simply because Human biology is a much newer course in comparison to the traditional Biology course. Most universities also think of it as the more easier option. I was really fond of doing Human Biology since I found it really interesting ever since I started revising it straight after the GCSE exams. Already having revised more than half the first module i was shattered to hear what the Sixth form had to say about the subject.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this. If there are any Med students present, please could you explain the courses that you took in order to shed some light upon this whole situation.
Help is much appreciated
Thank you.

all the universities that i applied to asked for specifically biology, and if i remember correctly it said --does not accept human biology as a replacement for biology a level.

all the things you learn in human biology are found in biology anyway. the only thing is biology a level has the plant stuff too
