Huh? Medicare Cuts Focus of Senate Health Care Debate?

Do you like paying twice for something?

The health insurance reform covers seniors as well. The cuts are a streamlining, not a benefits cut. It's basically cutting out things that were already covered, so that we don't pay twice for it.

It is most certainly up for debate; but if you like to pay only once and not twice, side with the Democrats. Republicans are just playing politics with this and pretending to defend the seniors. In reality, they are not serious about what they say because it would just be stupid. They are fighting to pay twice. Republicans do a lot of stupid things, but not that stupid.

They are trying to portray this as a benefits cut so they can try and embarrass Obama; NOT because they are seriously trying to protect you.

And this is just basic logic any person should be able to figure out. Which party came up with Medicare? Which party has been trying to save it, quite successfully?

Which party tried to block Medicare when it was first proposed? Which party has tried repeatedly to legislate it out of existence? Which party cut all funding to Medicare to pay for the Iraq War?

Why would the Republicans, who have spent decades trying to get rid of Medicare, all of a sudden be trying to save it now?

Why would Democrats, who came up with Medicare and have been keeping it alive for decades, now be trying to get rid of it? Especially since Medicare has been so central to so many of their successful election campaigns...

This bill is still going through no matter what! Sorry buddy. You can debate anything but it is still going through.

When your Grandpa is denied prostate radiation or your grandma a breast cancer operation because they are over the age to save you will protest loudly .
