HUGE DEBATE!!! HELP!!!?

At my school two classes are going to have a debate on whether Nazi War Criminals should be put on trial today, even if they are in there 80's and above. My team is Pro (didn't have an option of choosing). Anyway, my part is representing Germany in the debate. Do you know where i could find information on why Germany would prosecute against its own people? Or even information on Germany prosecuting Nazi War Criminals. Thank You!

Look up the Nuremberg trials and take it from there. This is pretty nasty stuff.There are few left but they did horrendous acts of murder and brutality. My father survived his service in World War Two and I am here to answer this question for you. This was a very large and complicated conflict. It will take you the rest of your life to understand even half of the facts. I was born in 1948 and early television had a lot of WWII stuff on it. It was driven into my young brain. If your class wants to ask me questions I will help all of you. The people of my father and mother's generation were given a name, see if you can find it.

First, not all Nazi war criminals were German. A significant number were actually Polish.
