I've got a E 5830 from T-Mobile in the netherlands.
The firmware isn't the newest.
I'm looking into unlocking it myself and 'documenting' the procedure in a python or other programming language.
I prefer working on Linux but can connect the device to USB on windows (vmware)
How should I dump the current image? What to alter before loading it back in? how to do so? How could I help the community while doing this?

it doesn't work for me. software says UNLOCKED. but it's not, i can't use other sim, network red blinking means doensn't accept simcard
