HTML? What is that on my keyboard?

okay i asked a question on .... HOW TO MAKE A PEACE SIGN.... and everyone said to use HTML then put the code in and delete the spaces...what is HTML??
 
hyper text markup language. It is used for making websites ect, long time to learn how to use
 
Hyper Text Markup Language. It is used to create web pages, enables users to have click points that link to other spots and all sorts of neat stuff that I don't know because I don't use it. I guess that someone has already created a peace symbol icon using HTML and that you can then link it into your text that way.

I hope someone gives you a more useful answer.
